If you’ve never experienced Kintyre before, you won’t believe that somewhere so far away from it all, can be so close. You’ll love how easy it is to reach us whenever you want, or need, a break.
You can reach us by land, sea or air, with a range of affordable services available.
The post code for the cottages is PA28 6PH, however your Sat Nav will not take you directly to our car park. But don’t worry; we’ll supply detailed directions with your booking confirmation.
Drive to Glasgow, then over the Erskine bridge and on to the A82. From Loch Lomond onwards it is a beautiful drive and warrants a few stopping off places, in particular the town of Inveraray. You drive along the banks of five lochs, and the last part of the journey is along the stunning Atlantic coastline. There are also regular buses from Glasgow operated by West Coast Motors.
Caledonian MacBrayne (Calmac) operates a summer only car-ferry service from Ardrossan directly to Campbeltown. Alternatively, you can take the ferry to Arran, drive across the island and take the short ferry ride from Lochranza to Tarbert on the east side of Kintyre – the cottages are about a 50minute drive (a lovely drive) from Tarbert.
There are currently no regular ferry connections from Campbeltown to Northern Ireland. But you can take the P&O Ferries service from Larne to Cairnryan where there are bus and train links to Glasgow.
There are twice daily flights to Campbeltown airport from Glasgow International on weekdays only. Occasionally, during peak periods, weekend flights are added. These are operated by Logan Air – check their website or Sky Scanner for accurate timetables.
