A charming ground-floor cottage with a fascinating history, MacDonald Cottage started life in Victorian times as the village bakery, where locals gathered daily for their bread and the news of the day.
Now fully restored and freshly decorated, it sits right on the main street of the historic Highland Perthshire village of Kirkmichael, offering warm and welcoming self-catering accommodation with open views down to the 18th-century church.
Set entirely on the ground floor with no steps, the cottage is ideal for guests with limited mobility, and the spacious layout with both a double and a single bedroom makes it equally perfect for couples wanting extra space. Settle into a pair of Swedish swivel reclining chairs or a traditional cottage armchair and enjoy the quiet rhythm of village life. The village shop/tearoom, pub/restaurant and play areas are just a two-minute walk away.
MacDonald is a pet-friendly cottage. One well-behaved dog is warmly welcomed with feeding bowls and poop bags provided, though we ask that dogs are not left alone in the cottage.
